About Me

Does Not Prescribe Medication.

Age Range: 5+

Peggy Stewart is a licensed clinical social worker who works with child, adolescent and adult residents of California. She has experience providing therapy to individuals experiencing stress and anxiety, physical health related distress and depression as well as facilitating support groups. Peggy is also certified to provide bariatric clearances and has extensive experience helping recipients and donors navigate the organ transplant process. Peggy’s philosophy of care entails empowering her clients to soar to their highest quality of life by using evidence-based therapeutic models.

In California, Peggy was the former region 5 patient affairs representative for the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) and served on the committee for 3 years. She continues to work with UNOS to help write and review policies related to transplant issues. In addition to this, Peggy also serves on the editorial board for a journal, Progress in Transplantation, where she reviews evidence-based research articles that inform her practice as an LCSW.

In her free time, Peggy maintains a reptile rescue and shelter that she owns to help abandoned and donated animals. She also has fond memories of the time she has spent traveling to Asia and the Caribbean. Peggy’s favorite quote is by Rene Descartes: “It is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it well.”

Peggy Stewart requires no less than twenty-four (24) hours advance notice of a canceled appointment. Clients canceling appointments with less than 24 hours notice, will be billed the full charge for the visit as a No Show Fee. This fee will be billed automatically to the client’s credit card at the time of the cancellation.

Credits for No Show Fee: After having been billed a No Show Fee, all first time clients have the option to reschedule and receive full credit. Upon rescheduling and participating in an initial session within 21 days of the canceled session, the client’s account will be credited with the full No Show fee, and this credit can be applied to future sessions.
