Mustafa Zaidi, MD, is a board certified psychiatrist offering medication management appointments to residents of Virginia. Dr. Zaidi specializes in working with patients that have PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or substance use disorders. He believes in the recovery model when it comes to treatment. As such, it is his philosophy to educate his patients about their diagnosis and discuss treatment options, allowing them to make an informed decision about their preferred treatment plan.

Dr. Zaidi’s interest in mental health care started during his clinical rotation in psychiatry. As a medical student, he appreciated the opportunity psychiatry gives doctors to see into the personal life of patients and enter into the chaos with them as they work together with a support network to heal. In his personal life, Dr. Zaidi likes to travel, spend time with family and enjoy nature.

“How strange and foolish is man. He loses his health in gaining wealth. Then, to regain his health he wastes his wealth. He ruins his present while worrying about his future, but weeps in the future by recalling his past. He lives as though death shall never come to him, but dies in a way as if he were never born.” - Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Dr. Zaidi requires no less than twenty-four (24) hours advance notice of a canceled appointment. Clients canceling appointments with less than 24 hours’ notice, will be billed the full charge for the visit as a No Show Fee. This fee will be billed automatically to the client’s credit card at the time of the cancellation.

Credits for No Show Fee: After having been billed a No Show Fee, all first time clients have the option to reschedule and receive full credit. Upon rescheduling and participating in an initial session within 21 days of the canceled session, the client’s account will be credited with the full No Show fee, and this credit can be applied to future sessions.
