Joel Friedman, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist whose clinical interests lie in treating anxiety, mood and personality disorders. He utilizes the Inpathy platform to encourage clients to develop new perspectives on important issues in their lives, help improve their ability to function and reduce their distress through providing quality care online.

Dr. Friedman holds two master’s degrees and received his doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology. He has been employed at Center for Family Guidance (CFG) as a Licensed Psychologist for over 17 years and has been practicing in the behavioral health field since 1990. At CFG, he acts as clinical director and has provided direct clinical care, supervision, managerial services, policy development and consulting services in a wide variety of settings.

On a personal note, Joel's interest in human behavior goes back to his undergraduate studies and he most enjoys assisting individuals who desire to make positive changes in their lives. He has been involved in pre-employment assessments for law enforcement personnel and has provided training on a variety of mental health topics for a enforcement personnel for many years. He teaches a course titled "Treatment of the Offender" at a local university.
