About Me

Dr. Ginger Simor is a board certified psychiatrist licensed to offer services to residents of New York, Florida and Pennsylvania, ages 16 and older. She believes in using compassionate, non-judgmental care to give an accurate diagnosis and treatment that immediately relieves her patient’s stress. While there is no population Dr. Simor is not willing to work with, she specializes in helping people with addictions, opiate dependence, depression, anxiety, ADHD, women’s health and LGBTQ-related issues.

After she graduated from the State University of NY at Albany with her BA in Psychology, Dr. Simor went on to study abroad at Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary, to receive her Doctorate in Medicine. Her travels and studies abroad opened her mind to different life-styles and cultures, shaping her worldview that the highest and greatest good happens through self-empowerment. Dr. Simor then returned home to complete her four year residency training in Psychiatry at Albany Medical Center Hospital, in Albany, NY. As a professional with over a decade of experience as a psychiatrist, she has continuously gotten to enjoy her profession, learning about people and helping them become the best version of themselves.

"To offer no resistance to life is to be in a state of grace, ease and lightness. This state is then no longer dependent upon things being in a certain way, good or bad...with dependency gone, there is no fear of loss anymore, life flows with ease." --Eckhart Tolle
