Prescribes Medication: Yes

Age Range: Adult

Ladan Hariri, MD is a board certified psychiatrist offering services to adult residents of California. While her clinical interests are vast, her psychiatric specializations are women’s health, eating disorders and anxiety disorders. This is evident in her research experience on the psychiatric profiles of bariatric surgery patients. In working with individuals, Dr. Hariri defers to the Zoroastrian mantra of “good thoughts, good words, good deeds.”

Dr. Hariri finds that taking care of patients with mental health issues brings out the best version of herself and allows her to become the provider that she always wanted to grow up to be. No other specialty in medicine has ever made her as excited to go to work than psychiatry. She has taken this excitement and contributed to multiple research projects on the topic of psychiatry. She has additionally participated in research presentations that focused on psychiatric emergencies and management of psychiatric situations. She continues to provide valuable research expertise within the field of psychiatry.

Outside of her career, Dr. Hariri is a both an animal advocate and a bird enthusiast. She cares for a parrotlet named Dr. Peep!

Human beings are members of a whole,

In creation of one essence and soul.

If one member is afflicted with pain,

Other members uneasy will remain.

If you've no sympathy for human pain,

The name of human you cannot retain!
