Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who believes in a compassionate, holistic, and individualistic approach to therapy. As a graduate of the Social Welfare program at University of California Los Angeles, I also have a Master’s degree from California State University Long Beach in Recreation Administration with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation. This combination of education, as well as career experience and life passions, has inspired me to combine more traditional psychotherapies with the outdoors and other creative approaches. I have extensive training in mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and humanistic therapies. In my in person practice I frequently use hiking, running, surfing, art, writing, and other forms of creative and active expression to best serve my clients. While I'm not able to utilize physical activity and the outdoors as much in my online practice I still incorporate out-of-the-box techniques as appropriate.
I have significant experience working with both youth and adults and have treated a variety of concerns as listed in the next section. I feel blessed to be able to incorporate all of my passions into supporting others in the pursuit of theirs and continue to advance my own growth through community collaborations, peer consultation, and continuing education. My enthusiasm and empathy create a warm and comfortable environment for clients to step outside their comfort zone and move toward their highest potential.
