Elisabeth Montgomery

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CO)

About Me

Prescribes Medication: No

Age Range: 18-65+

Elisabeth Montgomery, LCSW, is a social worker offering services to adult residents in Colorado. She has a vast array of clinical interests; however, her specializations are wellness and health promotion, life coaching, effective communication, cognitive behavioral therapy and career guidance. In her practice, Elisabeth believes that through authentic, genuine relationships, true transformation and healing can take place. With an emphasis on compassion, kindness, respect and honestly (and a little dose of good humor!) she works with individuals to make small changes that will lead to bigger changes.

Elisabeth’s interest in mental and behavioral health care started when she was a second grade teacher and recognized the importance of feeling safe in order to grow and learn. She began to understand the link between how emotional wellbeing can affect every other part of the world and became curious about how she could make a difference. This curiosity and interest grew when she was in the Peace Corps in Africa and she enrolled in a social work program directly upon returning from her assignment.

Elisabeth enjoys staying active in her free time and has completed two marathons. She also rowed in college at a Division I school. As mentioned above, Elisabeth spent two years in the Peace Corps based in Malawi, Africa.

“Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings.” – Elizabeth Gilbert
